How was your week? #emotional intelligence

Ever heard of the quote ‘the days are long but the years are short?’

That’s exactly what I’m experiencing with every workweek at CUTE! For over 9 years I’m working on desiging workshops, reflecting on new products … but I never really took the time to share this with you.

So I decided to start a new habit. And share every week a little thing about my work as a content designer at CUTE.

And this week was all about emotional intelligence!

We’re working on a change-track to make people even more customer-oriented, and a way to do this is to up their EQ. This week I worked on some digital DIY exercises (we call these: habit conversations) that people will experiment with in their business as usual.

This is an exercise on self-awareness. You become more aware of your intentions/hidden assumptions when mailing a customer.

  • Step 1: Go to your send mails.
  • Step 2: Select a mail you send to a customer from a while ago.
  • Step 3: Write down every assumption you made in that mail. I assumed that…
    (I assumed that the customer needed some reassurance, I assumed that I had to convince the customer to go with my idea, …)
  • Step 4: Reflect on how these assumptions have an impact on the customer + if these assumptions turned out to be right/wrong. (looking back on it)
